Recently I’ve been thinking about the difference between the words decide and choose. To me decide feels much more heavy, significant and final. So I decided to do a little research in the dictionary about their origins. Here’s what I found.

Choose:
Old English: ceosan “choose, taste, try”; akin to Greek geúesthai “to enjoy” and Latin gustāre “ to taste, relish”

Decide:
Late 14c., from Old French: decider, from L. decidere “to decide,” lit. “to cut off,” from de- “off” + cædere “to cut, to kill”

Decide shares the same etymological root with “homicide”! Definitely a heavier energy than the origins of choose, “to taste, to enjoy”!

I went with my three kids (ages 12, 17 and 20) and the 20 year-old’s girlfriend to my sister’s apartment in “The City”. Her building us just about 4 blocks from the marina. We had dinner and the kids walked down to check out the scene by the water. When it got dark we all went to the roof of my sisters building which has a fabulous view of both fireworks displays. They were completely synchronized, bold, colorful and loud!

I didn’t take this picture but it shows the two shows happening at the same time.

I had to laugh at myself because regardless of the fact that I expected the loud booms, I still startled. I’ve always been a bit skittish around loud noises. I remember when I was in college I spent a lot of time in the woodshop/metalshop/ceramic room. (I’m an unusual woman because I really love tools except arc welding.) If you turn of an oxy-acetylene torch the wrong way is makes a loud pop. The guys in the shop would deliberately do this just to watch me jump and then blush in embarrassment.

If I were in that situation now I would laugh at myself and be flattered that I was getting so much attention. However, I would still jump at the sound. I guess some things never change.

I’ll be talking about the Mother Earth, asteroids, abundance and anxiety. As always, this is a great time to ask questions.

Does the world seem crazy to you?

Are the “normal” people just nuts?

It seems that a lot of us “first wavers” are experiencing some intense emotional stuff. I mentioned in an earlier email that I cried more in one week than I had in over a year. So many people have told me that they are having what could be described as depression. It’s a feeling like you can’t stand living in this reality anymore.

I’ve heard things like:

If it’s going to be like this the rest of my life, then I don’t want to be here anymore.

When do I get to feel like I fit in or that I am understood?

Why are people so crazy/ messed up/ impossible to be around?

I can’t make it work....

When I looked into the core dynamic causing this sadness and despair what I got is that we are really, really needing to completely let go of the Old Reality. It’s about surrendering, once again.

Surrendering doesn’t mean losing, it means giving up. There is a big difference between the two, though we tend to think it is the same thing.

Historically, we see the picture of surrender as the king who loses the battle and loses his sovereignty. It was the ultimate humiliation and failure. Most of us feel this way about the idea of surrendering. But in the spiritual sense it means something else. It means letting go of the human/Old Reality way of trying to stay in control.

All our efforts of trying to control things, from the Old Reality point of view, are all strategies to avoid being judged and feeling negative emotions like fear, shame and powerlessness. Are you willing to be out of control?

Giving up means letting go of trying to fit in or make it work in the Old Reality. (You can’t really make it work anymore anyway, can you?) It seems we need to get to the point when we say, “I’m done”, “I’m not willing to follow the old rules”, “I don’t care what I have to let go of, I’ll do it so that I don’t have to live there anymore.”

Giving up… giving it up… releasing the Old Reality up to the Greater Self Reality.

Are you ready to give up?

This is not easy and it is not fun (at least at first), but, evidently, it is necessary.

And it will not last forever.

The bottom line is that what keeps us locked into the Old Reality are the emotions that we don’t want to experience and express. All limiting belief systems and past hurts are held in place by emotions. Every physical challenge has a core emotional component. The only reason that people can “get to us” is that they trigger suppressed emotional stuff. They “make us feel bad” (stupid, less than, wrong, etc.)

It’s time to release the Emotional Roller Coaster Program and really be free. It’s time to be who we really are, without fear of what others might think or do to us.

Are you ready to be your authentic self? Are you willing to break free from the limiting programs of the Old Reality?

This is the challenge and the promise of the pressure and intensity that we are experiencing now.

And there is a huge wave of people who are waking up now who need us as the inspirations and the teachers. If you are feeling the pressure, then you are being called, called to step up and be the spiritual teacher that you have dreamed about for so long.

How do you get free of the emotional crap?

This is why I’m teaching the ImagiCreation Emotional Freedom Program. I think this is the most powerful material that I teach. And I absolutely love teaching it!

This is what made it so that I could step up and be a Spiritual Teacher. This is what made it so that I could open to receiving and trusting the cosmic wisdom that is available to all of us. This is what has brought me clarity and peace regardless of what is going on “out there’.
